Dom was bred by James & Vanessa Hart from New Zealand & generously gave Nathan full ownership after years of Campaigning together - we are grateful to James & Vanessa for entrusting Dom's care to us.
Dom came to live with us 2014, we gave Dom time to settle in and get to know us.
Yvette Vlies, helped us understand how to work with a Stallion - helping with rules & safety issues at events.
Nathan was very gentle & loving with Dom - 6 months went by - a lot of love time & patience - Dom was the sweet & calm horse he is today.
Nathan & Dom have begun to share a very strong bond - four years work & tweaking is only beginning to show results, true to the training scale.
Nathan feels that he & Dom are now ready to navigate the dressage arena with confidence, grace & passion.
With state titles already under their belt, Nathan feels Dom's best work is yet to come.
Many years go by before a partnership can be fine tuned, and many more to create true Champions.
Both Nathan & Dom have had to work hard to get through major health & wellbeing issues coming back strong as ever.
With help from Australia's highly regarded Instructor - Olympian - Judge & Mentor Ricky McMillan, Level II Instructor - Breeder - GP Rider Russell Davidson, Nathan & Dom will be training and ready for a huge 2019 Season.
Special Baby Unit!
This baby has that many 'Thumb Prints' I have yet to count them all!
Buddy is a 5 year old Thoroughbred and has been in the paddock for a long time, never raced.
Warren Stephen Mobbs gave Buddy to Nathan a few months ago. Nathan allowed Buddy to settle-in and get to know us. We played with him and the ground time has paid off.
Introducing Buddy, a very cute & Compact 16.3hh Bay Thoroughbred Gelding. Buddy is an absolutely stunning 4 year old, very quiet and very trainable. Nathan has had him in work for a month, already beginning his lateral work.
People are surprised when they hear Buddy came off the track, as he floats across the ground with the conformation more of an Andalusian.
His leg action is very high and and expressive and he canters very uphill. Nathan thinks Buddy might be the most powerful horse he has ever sat on, and when you combine that sheer strength with his sincere attitude Nathan can’t help but smile as he glides across the arena.
Nathan is very fortunate to own a quality young horse to enjoy and train, Nathan say's, "Buddy is just too much fun really!'
Nathan is hoping to start Buddy at a competition once he is home from the World Games in Abu Dhabi at the end of March.
A very exciting time ahead for Nathan, to show his true value as a horse trainer, and for Buddy to show that the Thoroughbred is back!
